Meet the Directors

  • Michael Briganti

    Michael, a multidisciplinary performer from Montreal, QC, is excited to make his directorial debut at the BNPR festival—a full-circle moment since his first gig in Vancouver was with the festival. Michael is cast member of the Theatre of the Mindflayer D&D actual play podcast and crew member with Granville Island's Pirate Adventures. Recent theatrical credits include When We Were Singing (UPV/Touchstone). Film/TV: Henry Danger: The Movie (Paramount+), Allegiance S2 (CBC).

  • Delaney Gilmour

    Delaney Gilmour is a seasoned improviser, voice-over artist, and actor who has performed across Canada. She is a regular on stage with The Spontaneous Shakespeare Company, Regency Impro, and Very Very Improv. Having performed at the BNPR Festival multiple times, Delaney is thrilled to be stepping into the director’s chair and helping guide these new scripts from page to stage.

  • Hazel Eason

    Hazel trained at CCPA in her early 20s but took a long break from theatre until a couple years ago. She returned as an actor in community theatre, and then with TUTS in Matilda. Turning her attention to directing, she returned to TUTS last year for a Directing Fellowship with Tracey Power in School of Rock. Hazel has upcoming Assistant/Mentee positions with Western Gold Theatre under Kathryn Bracht, and Electric Company Theatre with Carmen Aguirre.

  • Keltie Forsyth

    Keltie is a theatre director, instructor, producer and administrator of settler ancestry based out of the traditional and unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations. She holds an MFA in Theatre Directing from UBC and is a graduate of the University of Alberta Department of Drama and participant in the Robbin's Academy Professional Theatre Program.

    Keltie began her career in Amiskwaciwâskahikan (Edmonton) as General Manager of Workshop West Theatre and co-curator of their Canoe Theatre Festival. After completing her MFA at the University of British Columbia, Keltie has worked as an arts manager, freelance director, instructor, grant writer, and associate artistic director of Pi Theatre. She spent two years in London, UK working as a director, producer and casting director before returning to Vancouver and taking on the Operations Manager position at the Vancouver Creative Space Society.

    Keltie has served in a number of teaching roles at UBC since 2016, is one of the co-Artistic Directors of Ensemble Theatre Company and currently serves as the Director of Operations at the PuSh International Performing Arts Festival. The 2025 Festival will be her third and last in the role before joining North Vancouver’s Presentation House Theatre as Artistic Director.

  • Abigail Crispo

    Abigail Crispo (she/her) is a New Brunswick-born writer/performer currently based on the stolen territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm, Sḵwx̱wú7mesh, and səlilwətaɬ Nations. She is interested in how a diverse range of mediums — such as text, cooking, movement, sense memory, and more — can be exciting entry points for her work, whether it be a nostalgia-centric short story (Vancouver Story Slam) or a play about a fly and her babies (The Arts Club’s LEAP Program). Abby couldn’t be more thrilled to jump into directing with BNPR, and hopes you enjoy the festival!  goes here

  • Dalia Currie

    Dalia Currie (she/her) is getting a BFA in Creative Writing and minor in Romance Study’s at UBC. Her passion for theatre began performing in Carousal Theatre’s “Teen Shakespeare Program” and directing/writing for TES Theatre. Her short play “The Coolest Ghost” was staged as a part of Festival Dionysia in 2023.
